George Halas

anyone in the history of the game
- Helped begin the franchise when it was the Decatur Staleys
- Worked out a deal to let them play in Wrigley Field
- Saved professional football from extinction by hiring Red Grange in 1925
- Won 321 games in his 40 seasons as coach
- Second place in all time victories is Curly Lambeau with 212, 109 less than Papa Bear
- Halas considers the Bears 73-0 victory over the Redskins in 1940 as his greatest thrill in professional football
- Halas was responsible for 8 of the Bears 9 NFL titles
- More of his Chicago Bears than any other franchise in the NFL have made the Hall of Fame
