George McAfee

• Inducted in 1966
• Halas once said "The highest compliment you can give any ball carrier is just compare him with McAfee"
• All-American for Duke University
• First game with the Bears he returned a punt for a touchdown to win in the last minute of the game
• Known as "One Play McAfee" because he usually scored so quickly
• Philadelphia coach Greasy Neale said "George McAfee is the greatest plunging and quick opening back I have ever seen
• Curly Lambeau said McAfee was "the most talented back the Packers ever faced"
• Red Grange complimented by saying McAfee was "the most dangerous man with the football in the game"
• Introduced the use of low-cut shoes for speed
