• Inducted in 1965
• Considered to be the finest T-formation quarterback to ever play pro football
• Was an instrumental part of the Bears 73-0 Victory over the Redskins
• Out of all the old time passers only Sammy Baugh was elected to the Hall before Sid
• Played his college football at Columbia
• On "Sid Luckman Day" November 14th, 1943 at the Polo Grounds, he passed for 7 touchdowns, a record that has never been broken
• All NFL 6 times, MVP in 1943
• Only quarterback who played before 1950 to be in the All-Time Top Twenty Passing Yards list
• TD pass percentage of 7.9 is the best ever
