Walter Payton

- Owns the rushing yard record, rush record, and touchdown record
- Rushed for 275 yards against Minnesota in 1977
- Rushed for more than 100 yards 77 career times
- Argued by many as the best football player who ever lived
- Jim Finks, a Bears Hall of Famer said "He is a complete football player. Better than Jim Brown, better than O.J. Simpson"
- Payton did everything well. He even through a 50 yard touchdown pass once while going down
- Payton only missed 1 game in his 12 years as a professional. And he wanted to play but his coach wouldn't let him.
- He refused to run out of bounds. He would rather dish out the hit.
- Accused by opponents as going out of his way to hit them instead of going out of bounds
- Leapfrogged over a 6-4 coach
- Knocked a kickoff through the uprights
- Battled with a quarterback in a game of burnout
- Ran for a 65 yard touchdown on his first ever high school carry
- Scored an NCAA record 464 points on 66 touchdowns, 5 field goals, and 53 extra points at Jackson State
